Welcome to Hickory Hill Farm GA

Hickory Hill Farm is a four-season 8-acre USDA Certified Organic fruits and vegetable farm. Here at Hickory Hill we are passionate about many things. First and foremost is faith. We are thankful for our Lord and His graciousness to us as a family. Second is our family. As a family, we play together, and we work together, and we love it. Then, of course, we love farming. Our farm has been in our family for over 150 years! Seven generations have put their hands in our soil. We deeply desire to see more family farms started in Georgia as a viable way for more families to make a living. We are also passionate about your food! We believe you deserve local, nutritious, organic, great-tasting food, and we work hard to make sure you get it.

Hickory Hill believes our food chain is broken and that obtaining local organic, healthy, tasty food can be a challenge. As the consumer you deserve better. How can we help you? You will benefit in several ways from eating local organic food. Let’s begin with freshness. Other than our storage crops which are potatoes, onions, garlic, and winter squashes, everything you buy from us is harvested one to two days before you buy it. That means you have a much longer shelf life which saves you money by reducing waste. As well, freshly harvested fruits and vegetables are more nutritious. Fruits and vegetables traveling many days in less than perfect conditions not only suffer from freshness but can lose much of their nutrition before arriving at their destination. Another factor is taste. There is no comparison to the taste of local fruits and vegetables to those that have been harvested to ship. Especially when it comes to fruits. We harvest at peak ripeness, when it is ready to be consumed. We harvest for flavor! Last but certainly not least is knowledge. There is much to be said about knowing your farmer and his or her practices. You are welcome to come to our farm and see for yourself what we do and how we do it.
